Highest PPFD recorded – Average PPFD at 150mm: 1541µmol m-2 s-1

As we develop better led grow lights for the NZ market, we collect and analyse a ton of data. Here we share our findings with you so you can make better grow light purchase decisions.

Methodology: 1.5m2 x 2m tent used with a 1m x 1m grid of 10cm squares, tested at a variety of heights: 150, 450, 600 and 1200mm

Testing Meter:  Apogee MQ-610 ePAR meter

Spectrum tested: Visible light + 380 to 760 nm (Includes UV & IR)

Outcome: This LED Grow light outperformed Mars Hydro TS300, SP6500 based on average PPFD over 1m².

It also outperformed Black Dog Phytomax 2-800 when the S700 was hung at distances under 450mm. Get the S700 grow light here.

There was an even distribution of High PPFD across the test area, which means bigger, healthier plants.

More flower and fruit production
When hanging the light 150mm with an average PPFD of 1541µmol m-2 s-1 means that growers can expect maximum flower or fruit production from indoor plants.

Suits Big or small plants
Led grow’s S700 is dimmable, which means that you can use this light to grow seedlings or trees.
